In 2012, brothers Alec and Aric Avedissian founded RAREFORM with the belief that a company shouldn’t have to choose between creating high-quality, one-of-a-kind products and doing a little good in the world. These days they put their love for all things unique and creative into every one-of-a-kind product RAREFORM makes. With a continued commitment to the principles that got the whole thing started—quality, originality, and sustainability—RAREFORM’s best days buy essay are very much ahead.
Just like each billboard marketing campaign, every Rareform product created is unique, from bags to wallets to changing mats. Every new product is entirely different from the ones that came before it. Each has a different print and a different history. That’s why RAREFORM bags are the only bags with a story worth telling.
If you’re not like anyone else, why should your bag be?
All Rareform products begin with bold billboards destined to sit in landfill. This used advertising material is intercepted and re-purposed into completely one-of-a-kind products. Every billboard received is carefully cleaned, cut, and sorted before it is sewn together. Rareform works closely with a number of marketing firms to assist in the disposal of their used billboards and they have recently even started working with brands who wish to continue their marketing story by re-purposing their advertising materials such as the association with the World Surfing League (WSL).
Rareform appreciates that all products have to wear well and be functional, that’s why the company hand cut and sort the billboards in their California warehouse. The billboard material used to make our bags is heavy-duty vinyl. It is waterproof, UV protected, and able to wear well.
As lovers of wild and beautiful places, and recognizing that our environment is our playground, Rareform has partnered with 1% for the planet to donate 1% of our sales to the restoration and preservation of the natural environment.
